#EUGreenWeek Loops 2.0: a dialogue with BIOSCHAMP and SUSFERT

BIOSCHAMP is joining forces with the EU project SUSFERT to bring forward a debate on the EU Soil Strategy next Friday 3rd of June. The debate is organised by Veltha -an International not-for-profit Association based in Tervuren (Belgium), aiming to foster Research and Sustainable Development – and directly connected to the EU Green Week as a partner event.

EU Green Week is an annual opportunity to debate European environmental policy with policymakers, leading environmentalists and stakeholders from Europe and beyond. This year’s edition focuses on the European Green Deal – the EU’s sustainable and transformative growth strategy for a resource-efficient and climate-neutral Europe by 2050.

The SUSFERT project

SUSFERT is an EU funded project that aims to develop more sustainable, multifunctional fertilisers for phosphorus and iron supply fitting into existing production processes and EU agricultural practice.

We live in a world where agriculture depends heavily on the use of non-renewable, resource-intense fertilisers to meet the ever-rising demand for food and feed. Both BIOSCHAMP and SUSFERT understand these challenges, and are ready to talk and debate about the topic!

About the EU Soil Strategy

The new EU soil strategy for 2030 describes a series of clear measures to be taken in the coming years to protect and restore EU soils, and ensure that they are used sustainably. In general terms, some of the main goals of the strategy include: maintaining healthy soil ecosystems, protecting and restoring damaged soils and reducing soil pollution.

BIOSCHAMP and SUSFERT have ambitious goals connected to the EU Soil Strategy, a hot topic to be discussed next 3rd of June!
