In March 2022, BIOSCHAMP attended the Grow22 Festival

The BIOSCHAMP team attended the “Grow22 festival” – a two-day virtual event that brought together industry leaders, policy makers and green industry representatives to discuss and develop the horticulture and growing industry. The event was hosted by our proud partner Kekkila BVB, and now all sessions from the 1st and 2nd of March are available for free at the event webpage.

Some of the topics covered: the first session

During the first session, Gerard Sikes, CEO from Sikes Champignons, presented the case study of Sikes Champignons, one of the biggest mushroom nurseries in the world, as a sustainable growing system for champignons.

“We need enterpreneurs as Gerard to develop and implement alternative casing materials to reduce the peat dependence in the mushroom industry.” -Jaime Carrasco, project coordinator.
